Welcome to the Northwest Ohio Big and Little Plow Club’s official website. The picture above is from 1940 in a Union Township field in Van Wert County. A group of neighborly farmers gathered to help a local neighbor put his crop in the ground after a death had occurred in his family.
In 2010 a group of area neighbors, many of whom related to those earlier 1940 farmers, came up with the idea of starting a plow event for the tractors and plows of yesteryear. As the saying goes ‘what goes around, comes around’. In its first year there were over 40 different tractors and plows working together once again-just like they did back in 1940. For one day, cell phones, computers and the business of today cease to exist. Please join us for our third annual Plow Event in 2012 and for a moment, allow the ageless iron to tell their stories!
